Here's a view of the lamp I made out of Ikea parts and my patterns.
-
The booth before set up.
-
My awesome booth mate slowly tiling the backdrop. I had this whole thing mocked up in my studio.
-
I made curtains from my fox portrait fabric and a faux window scene.
-
-
In my element. Bat scarf, sewing machine and wild hair.
-
Kid masks to show product ideas.
-
A few of the collections.
-
I made pillows, gift wrap, bags, and a tea tray. Sarah Lodato made a blanket from my antelope print.
-
Close up of the window and some gift bag designs.
-
This show the bags and stationery I have out with Anna Griffin.
-
This kind of shows the big deer cutout. That thing was a bitch to stay attached to the wall.
-
-
Some scarves and clothing I made with screen printing and whatnot.
-
I was happy to take the cardboard deer down first.
-
All wrapped up. What a blast!
Here are some candid shots from my booth at Surtex 2012. I made everything in the booth minus the blanket and napkins rings. It was a big and rewarding project. I took sewing classes to learn what I didn't know and matched it with what I did know. Next year will be just as much fun! I had such a wonderful time at this show and it went really well.
Surtex is an art licensing convention held annually in NYC.
